Rocket Couch
A couch so lit you won’t be able to get up.
For the Rocket Couch, I created a drivable electric couch outfitted with accelerator pedals and a propane flamethrower for special effects. This mutant vehicle was debuted in the music video “Who Cares” produced by Mega Hot Records Productions.
Who Cares?
What embodies the act of not caring more than cruising through town comfortably without ever having to get up from your couch??
Jay Hurtt and the Little Bird crew had just finished production of their hit song “Who Cares” and needed a build that would really capture this essence in their music video. So we decided to construct a couch they could drive all over Charleston, SC with a flamethrower on the back to add some rocket pizzazz.
The couch was designed with two chain-drive 1kW electric motors controlled by foot pedals and separate drive controllers while the custom flamethrower used propane fuel and was controlled with a double safety switch hand controller.
This couch was a solo build and finished in two weeks.
