i’m zac

Hey there!!!

Twelve years of mechanical engineering, product design, and installation design, and I'm still always cooking up something new and farfetched. I've got a Master's of Engineering in Integrated Product Design from UPenn and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, and I've worked across medical devices, recreational consumer products, military, aerospace, autonomous robotics, and large-scale installation design.

Somewhere between the big-picture vision and the detailed technical buildout is where I like to live; sketching the whole thing on Monday, covered in silicone in the shop by Thursday.

What I'd love to hear from you about:

Public art commissions — site-specific work for agencies, developers, and arts programs.

I can carry a piece the entire way: concept, engineering, fabrication, permitting,

installation. And I care as much about the decade after it goes up as the year before.

Installation bookings — festivals, venues, and events looking to bring in existing work.

Jellyfish Forest travels, installs fast, and has survived weather I wouldn't wish on anybody.
